This gel has decent hold without a crunchy or drying effect, for me. I don't find it be sticky or flake. I'm not a fan of jasmine so the smell isn't my favorite but it doesn't linger (it is offered in another scent and unscented). I use it for mini twists and slicking my hair for high puffs and cinnabuns. A little goes a long way (still using the. 2oz) I make my own flaxseed gel and this is an excellent alternative , for more hold and longer shelf life. I can appreciate good ingredients and would definitely repurchase at it's original price point.
I have fine/kinky natural hair w/ 65-75 % shrinkage and high porosity.

This gel is great!!! Ir does not cause extra shrinkage, its a soft hold, smells good, not sticky, great for twistouts, defines...... Overall a must have in your cabinet
